The Vulvas Prayer
The Vulvas Prayer
'The Vulvas Prayer' represents the concealed aspects of the feminine, using the sacred layered pattern of the mandala to reflect the cyclical nature of female life. Each of the 68 deities within the mandala conceals hidden vulvas on their underside, her wound, her pleasure, her drive, inviting reflection on how women present themselves in the world verses the hidden erotic vitality of their wild zones. What is not revealed dwells in the shadowy folds of her biology. This work champions women—their solidarity, their struggles, their pleasures and the shared intuitions and rhythms that connect their lived body experience across generations.
