Sculpted Shadows

Inspired from the natural interplay of light and shadow, where the human body becomes a living canvas against the stark backdrop of Strickland State Forest.

This piece emphasizes the beauty of shapes and contrasts, celebrating the elegance of the human form amid the raw elements of the large curved boulders. Their smooth form interacts playfully with the shadows cast on the rugged but smooth and curved granite boulders.  Behind her, the scattered leaves of the forest. The limited tree canopy keeps the focus on the sharp contrast between her graceful movements and the raw, textured landscape.

This composition, and use of black and white highlights the natural artistry and contrasts of light and form.
