Regenerate - When we become ancestors.
In every death, there is a birth, a regeneration of the blood and bone. Those pieces of us that hold our memories of a long-ago past, continue in us and will continue after we are gone.
The painting is about the leavings of life, those myriad, often microscopic bits of organic material that eventually merge with the soil to become the building blocks creating and sustaining new generations of life. We don't need to fear when we become the ancestors. We can be a powerful ally to those who come after us.
