‘Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.’
Brené Brown

The image to the left depicts what could be a deep sea Amoeba - a solo single cell organanism. Xenophyophores thrive in deep, dark environments, solo, the epitome of alone. Xenophyophores are fragile by nature, easily damaged and accordingly hard to study. Perspective dictates opinion, and this could also be assumed to be the foetus of a baby dolphin, early formed, alone and incredibly vulnerable.

To the right, the abstract image shows two shapes dancing together, with dolphin like movement, there's a freedom in the surrender from the third shape. A womb. A pair, a family formed.

We so often define ourselves by the linear, the path, the perceived action. When we break, we use language like ‘I’m a mess,’ or ‘I’m falling apart' as though that breakage makes us unworthy of connection. What if the growing occurs in the breaking? What if it’s the holding it together that is the stagnant source, and only once stripped emotionally bare, removed from safety, can we heal and grow?

What if we stopped defining ourselves by our most difficult experiences, and accepted they were an experience of who we are and not who we are?

What if we became friends with our shadow? What if we didn't choose loneliness?
