Renate Rienmüller

Renate is a Sydney based artist/photographer and completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2013 at UNSW and her Honours in Photography at Sydney College of Arts in 2015.

Renate has exhibited work in galleries around Sydney and regional NSW and has undertaken two international artist residencies in Italy and Poland.

In 2015, Renate built her own photographic darkroom in Brookvale on the Northern Beaches of Sydney where she embarked on a journey into practicing 19th century Wet Plate Photography. It was here where which was where she developed her love for portraiture.

Renate spent the next 6 years taking portrait commissions in her studio/on location, and working on her first photographic portrait book ‘The artist Lens’, due to be published in March 2025.
