Tohu Wa Bohu

There's times in our lives when there's nothing left to do but sit and feel the depths of silence. Not just any silence but the silence within chaos. The silence when void and form don't exist in the circumstances that encompass us. A silence amongst all the noise. It's the silence where there's no answers, no form to any answer only a void that seems to amplify noise and a lack of no direction or fulfilment. Tohu Wa Bohu is just that. The moment before something comes together.
It's in these moments where less fear can a long way. To sit in this type of silence brings you face to face with your greatest fear for that circumstance. Tohu Wa Bohu gives you space to not have answers, to sit with all the unobserved fears, and to just be because on the other side of Tohu Wa Bohu is a place where creation can now come from. Tohu Wa Bohu is the darkness right before the light shines through. Where all the waters are murky and rough. It's a place many of us fear and many of us don't explore to it's fullness.

Once one faces the fear of these deep waters of no answers, no sense of security and no voice to lead us into the next light lit path that's when the courage within Tohu Wa Bohu provides a space for the things feared to be shattered and for a space of new creativity to be formed. A new space where new direction, identity, belief and life can be created.
Having no glass or material within the frame invites us to go beyond the fears of our current world, to shattered perceptions of the things we fear and explore the fragile moment within ourselves. The paper this image has been printed not only expresses the texture of silence and solitude but it also invites us to experience the vulnerability of being crafted by a new expression of self creation.
