‘Coronis’ is a murder of seven crows representing the fearless wild female, embodying the archetype of ‘other’ akin to witches, midwives, and the secret realms of women’s knowledge.
She caricatures the instinctive nature of survival and reproduction, her hybrid vulva full of eggs. Each crow is a cheeky representation of the wise, watchful and sticky beaked feminine.
