A solo exhibition by Eira Chidgey

All Roads Lead Home is Eira's second solo exhibition since her return to Australia at the end of 2023; inspired by daily life and lived experiences, colour, shape and texture are built meditatively and intuitively, ambiguous marks allow the viewer freedom for their own interpretation while partially submerged forms within the many layers hint at the artists subconscious thoughts and emotions. While this collection remains abstract, there is a dynamic throughout that suggests a strong connection to the landscape and Eira's journey of reacquainting with her environment after three years in the UK. An explorative and inquisitive approach to mark making imbue the work with movement and energy, while the muted tones in this body of work invoke a calm and grounding atmosphere.
